There is something about making a beautiful drink for yourself that feels quietly radical.

Not a coffee grabbed on the way out the door. Not something sipped while answering emails. A drink you made with intention, that took four minutes, and that you actually sat down and tasted.

This matcha is that drink.

The base is ceremonial-grade matcha, whisked with a small amount of hot water until smooth and slightly frothy — grassy, clean, gently bitter. Poured over ice with almond milk or your milk of choice, it's already something. But then comes the foam.

A cold foam made from chilled coconut cream, a splash of milk, dragon fruit puree, and maple syrup — pale pink, impossibly light, swirling slowly into the green as you drink it. And stirred through that foam: one teaspoon of The Sacred Blend. Fourteen organic wholefoods. Magnesium. Iodine. Vitamin C. Iron. All of it, quietly, in something that looks like it came from a cafe.

Why matcha and The Sacred Blend work together

Matcha contains L-theanine — an amino acid that produces calm, focused alertness rather than the spike-and-crash of caffeine alone. Paired with The Sacred Blend's adaptogens — lemon balm for calm, maca for sustained energy — the result is something measured and grounded. Awake without being wired.

A note on the foam

The dragon fruit puree is what gives the foam its colour — that deep pink swirling into the green matcha. Use fresh dragon fruit blended smooth, or frozen dragon fruit thawed and blended. Both work perfectly.

The coconut cream must be full-fat and cold — this is what gives the foam its body. Froth with a small handheld milk frother for 20-30 seconds until light and pillowy.

Scared Dragon Fruit Cold Foam Matcha
Ingredients
3g ceremonial grade matcha
30ml hot water (80 degrees, not boiling)
200ml almond milk or milk of choice
Ice to fill glass
3 tbsp full-fat coconut cream, chilled
2 tbsp milk of choice
2 tbsp dragon fruit puree, + extra
1 tsp maple syrup
1 tsp The Sacred Blend
Method
1. Sift 3g matcha into a small bowl. Add 30ml hot water at 80 degrees. Whisk in a zigzag motion until smooth and slightly foamy with no lumps.
2. Spoon some Dragon fruit into the base of the glass. Fill a glass with ice then pour over your almond milk or milk of choice.
3. Slowly pour your whisked matcha over the back of a spoon onto the milk. Do not stir. Let the layers form.
4. Combine chilled coconut cream, milk, dragon fruit puree, maple syrup and 1 tsp of The Sacred Blend in a small bowl. Froth with a handheld milk frother for 20-30 seconds until light and pillowy.
5. Gently spoon the dragon fruit foam over the top. Watch the pink and green swirl together. Serve immediately and drink slowly.
